A chaotic video captured a scene in which a group of young individuals engaged in a brawl near Times Square, escalating to a shocking incident where one of them reportedly brandished a gun and shot a street vendor on Wednesday. The disturbing incident unfolded swiftly and dramatically in the busy New York City area.

The tense situation was recorded on camera as the armed individuals were seen pursuing an unidentified man near a food cart situated at Seventh Avenue and West 47th Street. The altercation erupted following a dispute at a relatively early hour, around 5 a.m., as described by witnesses and information provided by law enforcement sources.

The clip captured a man, who appeared to be armed with a small knife, running away from the group as punches flew.

The screaming youngsters appeared to be trying to retrieve a backpack from the man, the footage shows.

At one point, the man was filmed flinging the bag onto the street before he walked off in the direction of a food cart.

A witness, @PokeAndProdcast, claimed four to five gunshots were fired just moments after he stopped recording.

A 29-year-old food vendor ended up taking a bullet to his right arm, law enforcement sources said.

It wasn’t immediately clear if the street vendor was the knife-wielding man filmed fleeing from the group.

The shooting erupted after a dispute, the sources said.

The injured man was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, cops said.

No arrests had been made of Wednesday morning.
