Dolly Parton is postponing her Las Vegas residency due to “health challenges.”

The legendary country singer announced the news via Instagram Sunday, revealing that she needs to undergo a “few procedures” per doctor’s orders.

“I want the fans and public to hear it straight from me that, regrettably, I have to reschedule my upcoming Las Vegas shows. As many of you are aware, I’ve been facing some health issues, and my doctors insist that I undergo a few procedures,” said Parton, 79.

“As I humorously told them, I suppose it’s time for my 100,000-mile inspection, though it’s not the usual visit to my plastic surgeon! Seriously, because of this, I’m unable to rehearse and create the performance I want you to experience, the one you deserve,” she explained.

The “9 to 5” singer went on to say that she wants the “be at [her] best for fans, as they “pay good money” to see her perform.

“Although I’ll still manage to work on all my projects from Nashville, I simply need a bit more time to get show-ready, as they say,” she added. “And don’t worry about me leaving the industry because God hasn’t mentioned ending anything yet. However, I think He is advising me to slow down now so I can be prepared for more grand adventures with all of you.”

Parton concluded her post by telling fans, “I love you and thank you for understanding.”

The limited-run show, titled “Dolly: Live in Las Vegas,” was scheduled to kick off in December at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
