The girlfriend of Donald Trump Jr. expressed her frustration regarding a recent New York Magazine piece that labeled him as a ‘spoiled heir’ based on an unnamed source.

Bettina Anderson, the Palm Beach socialite who was romantically linked to Don Jr. in September, was particularly upset by the derogatory term ‘a*****e’ that the magazine’s source used to describe the president’s son.

The insider even told the piece’s author, Nina Burleigh, that Anderson’s new beau ‘is the most despised member of the family.’

In response, the 38-year-old Anderson posted a sequence of enigmatic messages on her Instagram stories, beginning with the statement: ‘Rumors are started by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.’

She then cast doubt on the validity of the source, sarcastically writing, ‘DEFINTELY an “insider” VERY familiar with @donaldtrumpjr.’

Finally, she heaped praise on Don Jr., 47, calling him ‘the finest, loveliest, tenderest, and most beautiful and brilliant person I have ever known’ before adding, ‘and even that is an understatement.’

Don Jr. also had his own response to the article titled: ‘The Age of Don Jr.: How the ultimate failson became an edgelord whisperer and a bona fide power player.’

‘Don’t get me wrong, I can totally be an a*****e when I need to be…if you’re adversarial to my friends, my family, my country, MAGA, etc.,’ he wrote on Instagram.

Nina Burleigh wrote the piece, but she wasn’t mentioned by either Anderson or Don Jr. Most of their ire seemed to be reserved for the anonymous source she spoke to

‘But I think you’d be hard pressed to find a regular person who actually knows me that thinks that. There’s no wonder why these “sources” are always anonymous. Man up, put your name to it, but we know you wont (sic) because you’re cowards.’

Amid the profane insult and the accusation of being spoiled, the New York Magazine piece also discussed Don Jr.’s talent at getting others to support the MAGA movement.

The piece points out that he was the first person to suggest that Elon Musk create a social media platform dominated by free speech. A year later, Musk’s takeover of Twitter was officially complete.

He was also among the first to say the Tesla billionaire should head up ‘a government efficiency committee’ that would later become DOGE.

Beyond his uncanny influence over Musk, he has made alliances with Tulsi Gabbard and RFK Jr., both former Democrats he reportedly schmoozed with before they made the jump rightward.

Don Jr. twice stepped in for JD Vance, first convincing his father to endorse him in his Senate race in 2022, and later getting him make Vance his running mate.

The piece claims Don Jr.’s influence was felt on Trump’s political project as far back as 2016, as he was reportedly the one who lured Peter Theil to speak at that year’s Republican National Convention.

The piece also mentioned Anderson herself, describing her as a ‘manor born WASP’ and saying that she ‘doesn’t appear to have submitted to the Mar-a-Lago face restructuring popular among many ladies in Palm Beach MAGAland.’

That’s because he hadn’t yet officially called off his four-year engagement to Kimberly Guilfoyle, the former Fox News host who managed to stay in the Trump orbit by being nominated to be the US Ambassador to Greece.

Guilfoyle and Anderson were both present at Trump’s inauguration in January, though it was of course Anderson who was at Don Jr.’s side for certain parts of the day.

Their first documented night out happened in mid-December, when the the two spent nearly two hours at swanky downtown hotspot Buccan, three miles from Anderson’s West Palm Beach townhouse.

They left the high-end bistro hand-in-hand before getting into a black SUV and driving off.

The last high-profile event the two were spotted at was Trump’s speech to a joint session of Congress in early March.

The couple was seen taking a selfie on Trump Jr.’s phone at the Capitol. Anderson was all smiles in a black dress as Trump Jr. mimicked his father’s classic look of a dark blue suit and red tie, as well as an American flag pin.

Most recently, the couple took a trip out on a boat with several of Don Jr.’s kids to go spearfishing.

In one photo posted to Instagram, Anderson donned a black sunhat while posing alongside the group after they’d caught a large fish.
