Drake Bell has filed for divorce from his estranged wife, actress Janet Von Schmeling, more than two years after she filed to divorce him.

The former Nickelodeon star filed legal documents in Seminole County, Fla., to dissolve their marriage on Thursday, reports TMZ.

The details of the divorce remain unknown at this time as the documents are currently unavailable.

Representatives for Bell did not respond immediately to Page Six’s inquiry. His lawyer, Brittany Staggs, informed TMZ, “Currently, Mr. Bell and his wife are requesting privacy as they navigate this new chapter of their lives.”

Von Schmeling initiated divorce proceedings against the “Drake and Josh” star, 39, in Los Angeles in April 2023. This was shortly after he was considered missing and “endangered” by authorities, leading to a search.

She listed irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split, according to court documents obtained by Page Six at the time.

She also asked the court for primary legal and physical custody of their son, Wyatt, now 4, and requested that Bell be granted visitation rights.

According to TMZ, the court required both parties to convene to hasten the proceedings by December 2024. The details of what transpired during their meeting remain unknown.

As we previously reported, the two parents separated in January 2023 as sources told us the former child star entered into treatment for his addiction struggles.

After she “had enough,” Von Schmeling, 31, moved to Florida with their son.

“They had some incredible beautiful times before. He needs to focus on being healthy, and they’ll be great co-parents in the future,” a source told us at the time.

“It’s a bad moment in time for Drake. But he is a great dad when he is healthy and sober.”

Bell and Von Schmeling began dating in 2013 and wed in an intimate ceremony in 2018.
