EveryPet is broadening its offerings by introducing complimentary spay and neuter surgeries for dogs in select zip codes within Duval County, aiming to curtail the occurrence of unexpected litters.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville clinic, known for its affordable spay and neuter services, is now cutting costs even further for a greater number of dogs across Duval County.
In an exciting development, EveryPet has revealed that its Norwood Avenue location will now provide free spay and neuter operations under a fresh initiative named “Operation Big Fix.”
Previously, the clinic offered no-cost surgeries for community cats and pet owners who met certain low-income or government assistance criteria. However, with the launch of Operation Big Fix, the scope of eligibility has significantly widened.
This expanded service has been made possible thanks to new funding from Dogs Trust, a charitable organization dedicated to the welfare of dogs.
The announcement comes after a busy year for Jacksonville animal shelters. In 2025, intakes increased again at Animal Care & Protective Services, and the Jacksonville Humane Society reached more than 10,000 intakes for the first time in 20 years.
“This program helps reduce financial and scheduling barriers while reducing unplanned litters and shelter intake,” according to the clinic’s website.
To participate in the program, dogs must be up to date on their rabies vaccinations and live in one of the following zip codes:
- 32204
- 32206
- 32208
- 32210
- 32218
- 32244
- 32254
EveryPet says the program is designed to increase spay and neuter access in underserved communities.
Owners will be asked to provide proof of address with a valid government-issued ID. If a dog is not current on their rabies vaccinations, it must be given on the day of surgery at a cost to the owner.
While having the surgery done, owners can also pay for other services like microchipping, helping to increase the chances of return if they ever get lost.
To schedule an appointment, owners can call EveryPet’s phone bank at (904)-425-0005.
