Dwight Schrute From ‘The Office’ Gets His Own Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair Set

Magic: The Gathering is diving deeper into pop culture crossovers — and this time, it’s bringing The Office into the fold.

The company behind Magic: The Gathering, Wizards of the Coast, has been consistently integrating popular franchises into the iconic card game via its Secret Lair releases.

While collaborations like Baldur’s Gate or even Final Fantasy seem like a natural fit, with themes of monsters, swords, and fantastical worlds, others embrace the bizarre much more. Enter: the newly unveiled Secret Lair X The Office: Dwight’s Destiny.

Yes, that means you’ll soon be able to field a deck featuring six different Dwight Schrute cards.

Each card serves as a re-themed version of an original MTG card, like Baral, Chief of Compliance, now humorously titled “Dwight, Assistant (to the) King.” This means you can authentically introduce Rainn Wilson’s character, complete with his glasses and beet farm background, to your next gaming session and insist he be regarded with respect.

And that’s not even the strangest drop revealed at MagicCon Atlanta. Alongside Dwight, Wizards also unveiled new Secret Lair collabs featuring Jaws (sharks make sense), Iron Maiden (because skeletons), and — somehow — Furby. The latter exists mostly because both MTG and Furby share the same parent company, Hasbro. Still, the “Furby Oddboddies” meme reference is hard not to admire in its unholy glory.

These collabs might feel a little like fast-food stunts (“Now with 200% more Mountain Dew!”), but Wizards is clearly leaning into the fun. And honestly? Who wouldn’t want to shuffle up a deck stacked with Dwight Schrutes and Furby horrors just to watch opponents squirm?
