AJ Brown lands on Eagles injury report after wisdom tooth procedure

Wednesday’s practice for the Eagles was notably less intense than usual.

Star wide receiver A.J. Brown was absent from the session due to undergoing surgery for his wisdom teeth, the team confirmed.

Earlier in the day, The Philadelphia Inquirer had indicated that Brown was scheduled for the dental procedure this week, though the exact timing wasn’t specified.

As of now, it’s uncertain if this dental surgery will impact Brown’s participation in Sunday’s matchup against the Bills.

The 2025 season has been a rollercoaster for the Eagles’ offense, with Brown’s performance varying significantly throughout.

In mid-November, days after a game in which he hauled in two catches for just 13 yards, Brown sounded off on the Eagles’ hot-and-cold offense.

“It’s not just solely about my situation. I want to win, too,” he told reporters. “I think if we’re really focused on winning and doing our job, we can’t just keep slapping a Band-Aid over the defense doing their job and getting us out of trouble. At what point are we going to pick up our slack as an offense?

“That’s what I’m getting at. It’s not about, ‘I don’t care about winning, all I care about is stats.’ No. It’s been week after week sometimes we’re not doing our job on offense. You can’t keep slapping a Band-Aid over that and expect to win late in the year and think you’re going to go to that at the end of the year. It’s not going to f–king happen.”

In five out of the last six games, though, Brown has been targeted at least 10 times and totaled four touchdowns.

The Ole Miss product delivered in last week’s win over the Commanders with nine grabs for 95 yards as the Eagles clinched the NFC East.

As it stands now, the third-seeded Eagles would face the 49ers in the wild-card round.
