Elise Stefanik will confront the UN with New York tenacity

The United Nations is getting a reformer and America First fighter out of Elise Stefanik.

Over her decade in Congress, Elise has driven results on behalf of her district in Upstate New York and the North Country and the entire nation.

Lately, she has been the dean of the New York GOP delegation and, as House Republican Conference Chair, the most senior New York Republican elected to top House leadership in more than a century.

Her dedication to achieving tangible outcomes for diligent New Yorkers is evident in her legislative achievements and in her unwavering commitment to expanding and upholding the House Republican majority.

As the Senate considers Elise’s nomination as President Trump’s ambassador to the United Nations, New York could not be more thankful.

The New York Republican delegation values her guidance, camaraderie, and ongoing backing for our initiatives to benefit New Yorkers throughout the state.

Whether it’s been joining together in bringing attention to the failures of Gov. Hochul to bringing a voice of moral clarity to counter the far-left Democrat policies that continue to pollute the great state of New York, Elise and New York Republicans have been resolute in ensuring that New Yorkers’ voices are heard and not overshadowed by the failed Albany Democrats.

Together this united team of New York Republicans has ushered in consequential funding for 9/11 heroes and their families, stood up against the radical Defund the Police movement in defense of our brave men and women in law enforcement, combated the rampant antisemitism infecting New York institutions like Columbia University, and exposed the corruption and subsequent cover-up of disgraced former Gov. Andrew Cuomo and his deadly COVID-19 nursing home directive.

As we saw this past November, the American people delivered a mandate in support of President Trump, his America First agenda and the big-tent Republican Party.

We are proud that in our home state, Trump gained historic support among New York voters.

From the national level down to the local level, Elise Stefanik has always given her constituents a voice at the highest levels of government, in addition to supporting the empowerment of a record number of common-sense Republicans across the state.

Her leadership in Congress will be missed, but the tenacity and strength to deliver reform to the UN will serve our nation well.

Unfortunately, the UN like many organizations has succumbed to the scourge of antisemitism, anti-Israel hate and the general fraud and abuse of American generosity.

It is ripe for reform and Elise Stefanik is unquestionably the right person for the job.

This is a bittersweet moment as the New York Republican congressional delegation loses a powerhouse and friend, but we know that her leadership on the international stage is coming at a desperately needed time.

We will continue to carry the torch of Elise’s strong America First, New York First approach with the strength and tenacity of New Yorkers.

As crises continue to rage around the globe as a result of the four years of failed foreign policy under Joe Biden, it has never been more critical to bring back President Trump’s America First leadership on the world stage.

We look forward to furthering our work together as Elise Stefanik takes on her future role as US Ambassador to the United Nations to promote the president’s peace through strength national security agenda.

As New York Republicans, we are beyond excited to see Elise — a proud Upstate New Yorker — represent the United States of America to clean out the rot at Turtle Bay.

Republicans Andrew Garbarino, Nick LaLota, Nick Langworthy, Mike Lawler, Nicole Malliotakis and Claudia Tenney represent New York in the US House of Representatives.
