It was a family affair at Donald Trump’s 2025 inauguration on Monday, as the 47th president’s children and grandchildren shared updates throughout the event on social media.

In a post shared to Instagram, Donald’s sons Eric Trump and Barron Trump posed for a selfie inside the U.S. Capitol Building – where the inauguration ceremony was moved to due to frigid outdoor temperatures.

Eric, 41, appeared to snap the photo with his front-facing phone camera while six-foot-nine Barron, 18, towered behind his older brother.

The second eldest Trump brother then posted the selfie to his 2.8 million Instagram followers.

Meanwhile, the President’s 17-year-old granddaughter, Kai Trump, took to Instagram to share her dazzling look for the inaugural ball on Monday evening.

In photos and videos posted to her account, Trump’s eldest grandchild sparkled in an off-white beaded gown with a corset bodice and thigh-high slit designed by Sherri Hill.

‘Inaugural ball dance ready @sherrihill,’ she captioned a video of herself showing off the dress.

Earlier in the day, the teen vlogger gave her YouTube subscribers an exciting behind-the-scenes glimpse of events leading up to Trump’s inauguration.

In the vlog, Kai revealed that she had been given a number of Sherri Hill dresses for the busy weekend.

‘This is Sherri Hill,’ she said, showing off the gowns, which came in red, navy, and gold.

‘She sent me some dresses and they’re amazing. All my ball gowns are Sherri Hill.’

Kai explained that although she has never worn Sherri Hill before, she felt like the dresses ‘looked really good on her.’

‘She’s a really good designer,’ she added. ‘I’ve heard of her before. Thank you so much for sending these Sherri, I appreciate it. They look so amazing.’

While attending a Trump rally at the Capital One Arena as well as his candlelit dinner at the Building Museum on Sunday, Kai posed for pictures with her dad, Donald Trump Jr., as well as with the rest of her family.

However, she didn’t stick around to actually eat at the dinner as she later revealed that she had ordered a steak to her hotel room instead.

‘I’m so hungry, I didn’t get to eat dinner,’ she exclaimed to her friend, who added that she had accidentally sent her meal back to the kitchen.

In the comments, many viewers praised Kai for documenting the experience and for giving her followers an inside look at the exclusive event.

‘Really appreciate you and your friends giving the youth reaction to these events,’ one fan said.

Another wrote: ‘You must be so proud and to have your close friends sharing the experience it will be a memory you’ll tell your children someday.’

A third added: ‘You looked perfect today. I’m glad you got to see everyone come through the doorway. Congratulations on being our greatest president’s granddaughter.’

‘I love how she is so down to earth and not rude and posh and like a show -off and is just not afraid of being herself,’ said someone else.

Kai – born on May 12, 2007 – is the eldest child of Don Jr. and his ex-wife Vanessa Trump, who divorced in 2018.

She is also the eldest of Trump’s 10 grandchildren.

Following Trump’s inauguration ceremony, the 47th president promised a ‘new golden age of America’ at a signing-ceremony-turned-rally at Capital One Arena in downtown Washington on Monday.

‘You are now witnessing the dawn of the golden age of America,’ he declared to great applause. ‘We’re not going to put up with that crap anymore.’

In the first hours of his second term, Trump immediately delivered on his promise by signing an executive order to undo 78 of Biden’s presidential actions.

He announced a regulatory freeze preventing bureaucrats from issuing regulations until the Trump administration has full control of the government and a freeze on all federal hiring except for military and a few other essential areas.

Trump ordered a requirement that federal workers return to full-time in-person work, a directive to every department and agency to address the cost of living crisis, and announced withdrawal from the Paris climate treaty.

He also signed a government order restoring freedom of speech and preventing censorship of free speech and one ending the ‘weaponization of government against the political adversaries of the previous administration.’
