'Proud' Erika Jayne's son was a first responder in the LA wildfires

It’s usually the “Housewives” who are in the midst of drama. But, recently, a “Housewife’s” son has been in the thick of the action, too.

“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Erika Jayne shared during a recent podcast interview that her son, Tommy, was directly involved in fighting the wildfires in Los Angeles.

“My son is a police officer with the LAPD,” Jayne said on the “Resilient Life” podcast, “The first thing he said was, ‘I need to go there.’ He was asking to go.”

Jane said on the pod, which is hosted by Ryan Manion — who founded the Travis Manion Foundation in honor of her brother, who died while serving with the Marines in Iraq — that Tommy was sent to the blazes in Malibu, where their family once had a home.

“He called me after his shift, and he said, ‘I don’t recognize where I’m at, Mom.’ This is really bad.’”

She added that, as the mother of a first responder, “You’re aware your children are their own human being and they have their own path, and I’m very proud of him. But at the same time, I’m like, ‘Please don’t do anything crazy! Please come home’.”

Meanwhile Tommy — her child from her first marriage to Tommy Zizzo Sr., who is also a cop — was also thrust into another high-profile drama a couple of weeks ago when he testified in the ASAP Rocky trial.

Tommy was one of the cops who arrived on the scene where Rocky allegedly fired a gun at his former friend, ASAP Relli. (Rocky has pleaded not guilty to two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm.)

Someone get that man a reality TV contract!

The Travis Manion Foundation works with veterans and families of fallen heroes “to develop character in future generations” with the aim of creating “a nation of purpose-driven individuals and thriving communities that is built on character.”
