() Erika Kirk gave a tearful tribute to her husband in her first remarks since Charlie Kirk was assassinated Wednesday while speaking at Utah Valley University.

“Two days ago, my husband Charlie went to see the face of his Savior and his God. Charlie always said that when he was gone, he wanted to be remembered for his courage and his faith,” Erika Kirk said.

“Now and for all eternity, he will stand at his Savior’s side wearing the glorious crown of a martyr.”

Kirk spoke glowingly of her husband’s mission; his desire to serve Jesus Christ while on earth, his love of family, nature, and his work with Turning Point USA.

Kirk, who married Charlie on May 8, 2021 and has a 3-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old son with him, spoke from their family home in Arizona. She fought back tears throughout as she discussed his life, death, and eternal rest.

“I will never ever have the words to describe the loss I feel in my heart,” Kirk said. “… Our world is filled with evil, but our God is so good, so incredibly good.”

Tyler Robinson, 22, was arrested and booked into a Utah jail after being taken into custody late Thursday night, around 10 p.m. local time, after confessing to his father.

Speaking of the killer, Erika Kirk said, “If you thought my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea. You have no idea what you have unleashed across this entire country, the fire you have ignited.”

Erika Kirk made special mention of President Donald Trump and her husband’s friendship with the president, as well as Vice President JD Vance and wife, Usha Vance.

Turning Point USA’s campus tour will continue this fall, so too will Charlie Kirk’s radio and podcast shows. Kirk consistently reiterated that Charlie’s mission will remain and be amplified in the days and years to come.

“My husband’s voice will remain, and it will ring out louder and more clearly than ever, and his wisdom will endure,” she said.

Throughout, Kirk referenced her Christian faith and how her husband is now with God in heaven.

After her three-year-old daughter Gigi ran into her arms on Thursday, Kirk told Gigi that her father has gone on a work trip with Jesus Christ. Her speech concluded by saying, “May God bless you all and God bless America.”
