() Ethan Chapin’s mom says she’s “forever indebted” to the team that analyzed DNA on Bryan Kohberger’s knife sheath, leading to his arrest in the Idaho murders.

Othram, a forensic genetic genealogy company, helped provide a thorough DNA profile from the knife sheath used by Kohberger, which helped connect Kohberger to the murders of Chapin, Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen and Xana Kernodle on Nov. 13, 2022.

“I feel forever indebted to them,” Stacy Chapin told ‘s Brian Entin.

“I have a list of people in my heart that, you know, since November 13, I feel that way about, and they’re on the list. I mean, thank God that they developed something that helped our case.”

Police interviews with Kohberger’s former cellmates were released this week as part of a 556-page document release related to the convicted murderer.

During an interview with the Idaho State Police and the FBI, two Latah County jail inmates, whose names were redacted, discussed their interactions with Kohberger, including that he was “very interested” in the trial of Alex Murdaugh.

Digital forensic experts Heather and Jared Barnhart also told “Banfield” on Tuesday that Kohberger’s mother texted him regarding the murder of four University of Idaho students before his arrest for that crime.
