Eva Longoria shared a passionate moment with her husband in Beverly Hills on Friday, following their relocation from the United States to divide their time between Mexico and Spain.

After Donald Trump clinched the presidency last November, speculation arose that Eva had left America due to the changing political climate, especially after her noteworthy comments during that period describing the nation as ‘dystopian.’

In reality, she had moved to Marbella with her husband, Mexican entrepreneur José Bastón, and their seven-year-old son Santiago, before Trump’s victory.

Back in April 2024, a source had told the Daily Mail that the family were moving to Spain to prevent Santiago from getting ‘sucked into the whole Hollywood cycle.’

Now Eva – who purchased her Marbella property in 2023 – has been spotted back in Los Angeles, possibly for one of her showbiz work commitments.

During a night off, Eva and her husband of nine years were seen indulging in a public display of affection outside the restaurant Marea in the swank 90210 zip code.

Eva, who was previously married to soap star Tyler Christopher and basketball pro Tony Parker, seemed as besotted with her husband as when they married.

They were seen wrapping their arms around one another as they moved in for the kiss, shaded by the umbrella at the valet stand.

Eva cut a snappy figure in a busty white top and matching boyfriend fit blazer, teamed with a set of loose-fitted acid-wash jeans and a sleek handbag.

Meanwhile José, who goes by the nickname Pepe, was the image of a sizzling silver fox in a navy shirt with a couple of buttons beguilingly undone.

Shortly after last year’s US elections, an interview with Eva was published in which she sharply criticized America in general and California in particular while discussing her new life jetting between Mexico and Spain.

Eva, who is originally from Texas, noted that she had led ‘my whole adult life’ in Los Angeles but explained that the ‘vibe’ had begun shifting before COVID-19.

‘And then COVID happened, and it pushed it over the edge. Whether it’s the homelessness or the taxes, not that I want to s*** on California – it just feels like this chapter in my life is done now,’ she told Marie Claire.

The Desperate Housewives bombshell added: ‘I’m privileged. I get to escape and go somewhere. Most Americans aren’t so lucky. They’re going to be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and sadness is for them.’

Her grim appraisal of the US led to a whirlwind of social media speculation that she had decamped to her homes abroad because of Trump.

However she had purchased her Marbella house in 2023, and by April 2024 a source had already told the Daily Mail that she and José were leaving America.

‘They want to raise their son in a place where he will be surrounded by nature and beauty and not be sucked into the whole Hollywood cycle,’ the insider explained.

‘They are moving to their home in Spain full time and are both so excited about it. She has had everything that she wanted in Hollywood.’

Nevertheless the perception that she had fled the second Trump presidency persisted in the public eye to the point she had to publicly deny as much.

Eva called The View host Ana Navarro – a friend of hers – while Ana was in the process of recording her The View: Behind the Table podcast.

When she realized the call would be on a podcast, Eva asked Ana: ‘Will you please let them know I didn’t move out of Spain because of Trump?’ adding that she had ‘been in Europe working for almost three years.’
