A Kansas woman, aged 47, has been officially charged with first-degree murder following the tragic death of her 80-year-old mother, as confirmed by local authorities on Tuesday.

Sedgewick County District Attorney Marc Bennett announced the charge against Angelynn Mock, affirming that it came after a thorough review of the investigation led by the Wichita Police Department’s homicide unit.

The incident unfolded last Friday when police were called to a home in Wichita, where they discovered Anita Avers suffering from multiple stab injuries. Despite being rushed to the hospital, she succumbed to her wounds.
