Nicole Kidman's age-defying visage comes under scrutiny

Nicole Kidman revealed her very taut and line-free visage at the W Magazine party in Los Angeles over the weekend ahead of the Golden Globes.

The 57-year-old Australian actress showcased her age-defying appearance while taking photos with her 16-year-old daughter, Sunday. Observant fans began speculating on the methods Nicole might have used to maintain her youthful look.

With not a line in sight, some suggested the Babygirl star may be using cosmetic procedures like Botox and fillers ahead of the awards show season.

‘Nicole has a new face for the Globes & Oscar,’ one person wrote, while another said: ‘She must spend the majority of her day on her looks.’

‘Nic’s face doesn’t move,’ a third person noted.

Some fans urged Nicole, who confessed to experimenting with Botox back in 2011, to opt out of further cosmetic enhancements to retain her youthful appearance. Concerns were raised that she might go too far with procedures.

‘Stop with the cheek fillers Nic,’ another wrote.

Another individual commented that Nicole, currently nominated for Best Performance by an Actress at the Golden Globes for her role in Babygirl, appeared absolutely fine before she started altering her lips and getting fillers.

‘I hate that Nicole Kidman has gone the route of most of Hollywood and has now destroyed her once naturally beautiful face! Duck lips! Why?!’ they commented.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Nicole’s representatives for comment.

It’s not the first time Nicole has sparked rumours she may have had cosmetic work done.

Back in November, footage resurfaced of Nicole’s appearance on The Graham Norton Show in 2016.

The host of the long-running British talk show cheekily compared some old publicity photos of Nicole from the 1980s to her current look.

‘You looked stunning on the cover of Dolly Magazine in 1983,’ Graham quipped, as he jokingly said Nicole looked so different and more mature today.

Nicole was seen cringing at her old modelling photos as she joked her modern appearance was so different, due to her new hairstyle.

‘I have to say to anyone that has curly hair when you are young, keep it, don’t straighten it. After awhile you don’t get your curls back,’ Nicole warned viewers.

Viewers at home were quick to flock to social media to note how different Nicole looks now to how she did years ago, questioning if she has had a cosmetic touch up.

‘God, she is full of it! She was a redhead with freckles and now she isn’t… but she doesn’t use Botox!’ one viewer sniped.

‘With all that Botox, I’m surprised she could move her face,’ a second person added.

‘She can’t smile naturally anymore,’ a third user chipped in.

The Hours star has previously credited healthy lifestyle choices as the secret behind her age-defying complexion.

In 2007, she denied undergoing cosmetic surgery and said her flawless skin was down to a healthy lifestyle.

‘To be honest, I am completely natural,’ she told Marie Claire at the time.

‘I wear sunscreen and I don’t smoke. I take care of myself. I’m very proud to say that.’

However, in 2011, she admitted to getting Botox during an interview with German magazine TV Movie.

‘I’ve tried a lot of things, but aside from sports and good nutrition, most things don’t make a difference,’ she said.

‘I even tried Botox but I didn’t like how my face looked afterwards. Now I don’t use it any more and I can move my forehead again.’

Nicole will be one of the big stars attending the 2025 Golden Globe Awards on Monday.

She has been nominated for Best Performance by an Actress for her film Babygirl.
