The juicy moments from Trump's speech to Congress that you didn't see

During Donald Trump’s speech, there were some noteworthy events that the cameras missed, such as Democrats leaving in protest, Elon Musk receiving a security warning, and the Trump family appearing unamused.

Trump’s recent televised speech to Congress provided him with a platform to communicate his vision for the nation directly to government officials and the American public watching from home.

The president discussed his plans to usher in a new ‘Golden Age’ in America, pledging to follow through on his commitments regarding immigration, revitalizing the country’s industries, improving the economy, and addressing international conflicts.

Though as he made sweeping promises and delivered warnings to those who try to derail his plans, the House chamber on Capitol Hill stirred with activity and under the radar interactions.

DailyMail.com breaks down some of the juicy moments you may have missed.

Trump family schmoozes in box with Melania

In Trump’s family box, Melania was greeted with a standing ovation from all those in attendance, though many Democrats stayed seated.

The first lady quickly chatted up her guests, including Elliston Berry, Haley Ferguson and Alexis Nungaray.

But throughout his speech, his family seemed much less enthused than the GOP lawmakers below, who were praising the president.

Trump’s daughters Ivanka Trump and Tiffany sat as many Republicans stood and clapped on their father.

The president’s sons Don Jr., Eric, Jared Kushner and Michael Boulos also appeared more reserved as they watched from the family’s suite.

They were far away from the ruckus Democrats were raising below.

Outbursts by angry Democrats

In a sudden outburst, Democratic Rep. Al Green indignantly challenged Trump on Medicaid and healthcare, waving his cane at the president, shouting and interrupting the president’s remarks early on.

Initially, Trump began speaking over Green and did not let off as the Democrat yelled.

‘You have no mandate to cut healthcare,’ Green yelled at Trump, later saying he has ‘no mandate to cut Medicaid.’

Speaker Mike Johnson eventually banged his gavel to restore order after Green’s accosting went unabated.

Johnson threatened that he would have the security kick Green out if the Democrat did not stop his protest.

After refusing to sit, Green, who is working to impeach Trump, was escorted out of the room.

Some Democrats put their hands to their face in shame as others cheered the Texan’s antics on.

Progressive ‘Squad’ member Rashida Tlaib repeatedly held up a white board she had brought to write personal notes of protest to the Republican president.

‘Start paying your own taxes,’ one of her whiteboard messages said, ‘Musk lies’ read another. When the president did not seem to see her messages, she would bang on her board with a black and white sign, which she was also using to protest.

Lawmaker lovers cozy up

Republican lawmakers Rich McCormick of Georgia and Beth Van Duyne of Texas, who DailyMail.com first reported were dating last year, sat cozily together.

They were spotted often with arms touching, as they took in Trump’s remarks.

The pair also snagged great seats near the aisle to get a glimpse of Trump as he entered and exited the chamber.

JD Vance and Speaker Johnson’s hot mic moment

Shortly after Vice President Vance entered the chamber he took his position at the center of the floor behind Trump’s seat and was caught on a hot microphone yucking it up with Speaker Mike Johnson.

‘I think the speech is going to be great, but I don’t know how you do this for 90 minutes,’ Vance joked with the speaker.

Johnson shot back: ‘The hardest thing was doing it during Biden when the speech was a stupid campaign speech.’

Elon reminded of the rules

Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) leader Elon Musk was reminded by Capitol security that he could not film in the House chamber.

After warned off filming by authorities it appears the world’s richest man did not have another infraction.

He was later seen pumping his fists and celebrating when Trump announced his intention to plant an American flag on Mars.

Republicans show support in bold MAGA gear

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Trump ally known for her fervent support of the president, wore a bright red MAGA hat to compliment her blue dress.

Though House rules state that members should not be covered, she was seemingly never told to take it off, and even got some approval from Trump as he entered in the room and noticed the unmistakable cap.

Jeering among political foes on the floor

‘January 6th!’ Democratic Reps. Mark Takano of California jeered at Trump along with many of his colleagues.

Another protest broke out when Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, led a group of lawmakers out of the room.

As they walked off the floor the group unveiled black shirts with the word ‘resist’ emblazoned on the back in white lettering.

Roughly 30 Democratic lawmakers brought in signs with various protest slogans on them like ‘Musk Steals,’ ‘Save Medicaid’ and ‘Protect Veterans.’

Republicans immediately booed the Democrats.

Conservative figures like commentators Ben Shapiro and Matt Walsh attended on behalf of GOP leadership, and they sat front row in the guest seating.
