LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — An impersonator attempted to fool a crowded nightclub at Wynn Encore Resort into believing he was pop star Justin Bieber. It worked for a few minutes.

According to TMZ, DJ Gryffin said he was working at the XS Nightclub on Saturday when he was told Bieber was in the club and wanted to make a surprise appearance.

A video posted on Gryffin’s Instagram account shows the performance of a man in sunglasses and a hoodie, and the crowd going wild. It also shows the aftermath when Gryffin realized he was duped. He has since referred to the imposter as “bustin jeiber.”

‘Sounded just like Justin Bieber’

“And after 4 minutes and 27 seconds of what sounded just like Justin Bieber, I found out the worst news imaginable,” Gryffin posted. “A dark venue and loud music didn’t help.”

“I kind of thought like, damn, he’s put on a lot of weight,” he said in the video.

“After an elaborate and multi-step ruse by him and his advance team, a Justin Bieber impersonator was granted access to the XS stage. As soon as the error was recognized, he was removed from the resort and denied future entry,” a representative for Wynn Resorts told TMZ.
