KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The NFL playoffs kicked off on Saturday, but the Kansas City Chiefs have to wait another week for their playoff campaign to start. It’s leaving fans with mixed feelings.

“Optimistic anticipation would be what I would classify it as,” said Chiefs fan Harrison Dollar.

“Excited but nervous, right.?”

“Watching the Chargers lose against Houston? I thought Houston would lose honestly, so I don’t know what to expect,” said another fan Michael Munoz.

The Chiefs are in the playoffs for the 10th straight year, and since 2019, have a 14-2 record in the playoffs with 3 Super Bowl titles.

“I’m so confident in Patrick Mahomes,” said Jennifer Justus.

“There is no quarterback like Mahomes, and he always saves us. It’s going to be a show this year,” echoed another fan Amery Day.

“I think it’s time to silence all the haters.”

As the playoff football season approaches, Chiefs fans are excited to feel the buzz in the city again.

“It’s kind of amazing, we’re all like a family almost it’s great,” said Munoz.

“I’m a bartender, so when it comes to Sunday night football games with the Chiefs, it’s always a busy crowd. Everybody’s amped up, hyped up, ready to go.”

Dollar says that everyone can feel the momentum of the team.

“We have a shared victory as a city. And you can see it because when people are walking around, they’re happy and we all have the same reason to be happy, the Chiefs baby!”

All the fans who spoke with FOX4 on Sunday, all had the same goal in mind.

“3 peat is all attitude,” said Justus.

“Mahomes has got that attitude, we’ve got the experience. They can go into it without the nerves so that they can make it happen.”

“Make this dream happen for us!” said Dollar.
