The long-awaited 2026 Academy Awards have finally arrived, promising a parade of unforgettable fashion missteps as Hollywood’s elite take to the red carpet ahead of the night’s festivities.

This prestigious event, widely considered the pinnacle of the awards season, unfolds at The Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, with the ever-entertaining Conan O’Brien taking on hosting duties.

This year, the competition is expected to be intense, particularly in the Best Actor in a Leading Role category.

Contenders include Timothee Chalamet for his performance in “Marty Supreme,” Leonardo DiCaprio in “One Battle After Another,” Ethan Hawke for “Blue Moon,” Michael B. Jordan in “Sinners,” and Wagner Moura in “The Secret Agent.”

In the race for Best Actress, Kate Hudson is recognized for her role in “Song Sung Blue,” facing off against Rose Byrne in “If I Had Legs I’d Kick You,” Jessie Buckley for “Hamnet,” Renate Reinsve in “Sentimental Value,” and Emma Stone in “Bugonia.”

Many of the biggest films of the year are nominated for Best Picture, too, like Sinners, Marty Supreme, and Bugonia.

Ahead of tonight’s ceremony, stars attended the awards in a slew of sartorial nightmares and over-the-top outfits.
