JSO said the victim got into an argument at Jacksonville’s Elevation Lounge, and as he went to leave, witnesses heard multiple gunshots.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is dead after he was shot following an argument at a Northside lounge early Friday morning, according to investigators with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

JSO Sgt. Steve Rudlaff said officers responded to the 6000 block of Norwood Avenue Friday to reports of a man shot.

They found the man, who Rudlaff said was around 25 years old, lying outside of a car with gunshot wounds. JFRD paramedics responded and took the man to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Rudlaff said their initial investigation found the man got into an argument in the parking lot of the nearby Elevation Lounge, eventually getting into the car to leave with another person. Witnesses then heard multiple gunshots, Rudlaff said.

JSO investigators are still working the scene for more information.

Anyone with information on this shooting should contact JSO.
