Adi Alexander, the father of Edan Alexander, 20, praised Wednesday’s cease-fire agreement as a step forward to be reunited with his son after more than 467 days.

Young man, Edan Alexander, with short hair and a necklace, who is an Israeli-US citizen and a volunteer in the Israeli army, suspected to be taken as a hostage to Gaza.
Edan Alexander, from New Jersey, was kidnapped during Hamas’ October 7 attacks.

“It’s a long time coming. Enough is enough. We’ve been so close before and I’m happy that this time we’ve been able to pass it over the finish line,” Alexander told The Post.

Israel and Hamas have reached a deal to pause fighting for 42 days, allowing them to negotiate the terms of the release of the hostages remaining in Gaza. The initial wave of released hostages would include women, children, men over 50, and those who were wounded and sick.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
