The father of Austin Metcalf, a teenager who was tragically killed, posted a heart-wrenching message on Easter Sunday. This comes almost three weeks after his 17-year-old son was fatally stabbed at a high school track meet.

Jeff Metcalf shared a poignant song titled “Beat You There” by Will Dempsey, with lyrics that express the pain of losing someone dear: “I don’t know why God always takes the good ones first/And man, I’ve tried to be strong and carry on, but damn, this hurts.”

Along with a link to the song, the grieving father also wrote: “I love you Austin. Happy Easter.”

On April 2, Austin Metcalf, aged 17, was reportedly stabbed to death by another teenager named Karmelo Anthony in an altercation at a high school track meet in Frisco, Texas.

Anthony, also 17, faces a first-degree murder murder charge, but he returned home and is under house arrest after his family posted his $250,000 bond.

The teen and his family insist he acted in self-defense.
