Efforts to solve the perplexing case of Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance have intensified, as authorities continue their search for the missing 84-year-old. Recently, law enforcement teams were observed conducting a thorough search in the vicinity of her Tucson, Arizona residence, hoping to unearth any leads that might shed light on her mysterious vanishing.
On Wednesday, the FBI took significant measures by closing off a seven-mile stretch of North Campbell Avenue, a prominent thoroughfare located to the east of Nancy Guthrie’s home in the Catalina Foothills. The goal was to carry out an “extensive search” of the surrounding area, which is believed to be crucial in understanding what happened to her.
The search spanned from two miles north of her residence, reaching East Skyline Drive and East Sunrise Drive, and extended approximately four miles south to East River Road. Throughout this effort, investigators meticulously scoured the Catalina Foothills for any signs or evidence that could provide insights into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance. The search efforts covered about 1.5 miles in total.

In a significant development, officials discovered a pair of black gloves during their search. These gloves matched the description of those worn by a masked individual captured on Nancy Guthrie’s doorbell camera on the night she went missing. This finding, as reported by the New York Post, could be pivotal, potentially holding crucial DNA evidence that might bring investigators closer to unraveling this mystery.

On Thursday, law enforcement officials erected a white tent at the front doorstep of Nancy Guthrie’s home, though the reason for the tent has not been released.
“It could be that they removed the door because they’re going to do special studies to see if there’s any DNA or evidence on it that they did not pick up in the normal examination, and they wanted a close examination in the laboratory,” forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden told Fox News Digital.
