TUCSON, Ariz. — The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has announced a significant increase in the reward for information on Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, now offering $100,000 for any details that lead to the arrest of those involved. This comes as new information about a possible suspect emerges.

The FBI’s Phoenix office shared that its Operational Technology Division has identified new details about the suspect believed to be connected to Guthrie’s case. These insights were gleaned from a forensic examination of footage captured by a doorbell camera.

The suspect is described as a male, standing between 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-10, with a medium build.

In addition to the physical description, officials have identified the backpack the suspect was carrying in a video released earlier this week. It has been confirmed as a black, 25-liter “Ozark Trail Hiker Pack” backpack.

Accompanying this update, the FBI released new images of the backpack on Thursday, which are crucial to the ongoing investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.

Since Guthrie’s disappearance on Feb. 1, the FBI said it has collected over 13,000 tips from the public related to the case.

Every tip is reviewed for credibility, relevance, and information that can be acted upon by law enforcement, officials said.
