In Florida, law enforcement officers sprang into action to rescue a 4-year-old boy facing a medical crisis on Interstate 275, officials reported on Sunday.
Deputies from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office responded to an emergency call around 5:20 p.m. on Saturday, where they found an unresponsive child on the freeway.
Upon arrival, the deputies discovered the boy was neither breathing nor showing any signs of a pulse.
Captured on bodycam footage, the deputies are seen hurrying to the stopped vehicle, extracting the child from the back seat to administer aid.

According to the sheriff’s office, the child was found without breath or pulse when the deputies reached the location.
As one deputy picked up the boy, a woman who had been performing CPR could be heard saying, “He’s breathing!”
The deputy carried the child to the side of the interstate, laid him on the ground and began CPR.

“There’s something in the mouth. Pull it out!” one rescuer said.
It was unclear what was blocking the child’s breathing, but once it was cleared, first responders continued CPR until Tampa Fire Rescue crews arrived and took over treatment.
