A Florida nurse, caught in a scandal involving the sexual assault of her 15-year-old stepson, has lost her nursing license and is currently undergoing a divorce. This follows a shocking revelation by her husband, who discovered the incident.
Alexis Von Yates, 35, was formally stripped of her license last month following a meeting between the state Board of Nursing and her legal representative, according to a report from Ocala News. The decision came after a hearing that took place several weeks prior.
In September, Yates received a two-year prison sentence after entering a plea of no contest to the charge of lewd and lascivious battery. The legal proceedings have drawn significant public attention due to the nature of the crime.
The Board of Nursing, as noted in a final order obtained by Ocala News, convened with Yates in October. During this meeting, she did not challenge the allegations brought against her.
Initially, health officials had suspended her nursing license in April, citing her conduct as failing to meet the expected standards of moral character required in the profession. This suspension served as a precursor to the eventual revocation of her license.
The Daily Mail has approached the state Department of Health for comment on the ruling.
Yates accepted a plea deal after she was originally charged with sexual battery on a person between the ages of 12 to 18 years of age.
The plea deal will see her spend two years in prison, followed by two years of community control and ten years of sex offender probation. She must also sign the sex offenders’ registry.

The charges stemmed from an incident last July where her lineman husband Frank had walked in on Von Yates sexually assaulting his son, court documents said.
The boy had been in Ocala in July of 2024 spending time with his dad, step-mom and younger siblings when Von Yates sexually assaulted the teenager.
He described in graphic detail to police how the two had sex after spending an evening vaping cannabis oil before watching a movie while his father was working.
Frank walked in on the incident, with Von Yates later confessing to her then husband that she did so because the teen reminded her of him, a police report said.
She also claimed her victim’s penis looked like a more youthful version of her husband’s.
The boy told investigators how Von Yates started sexually assaulting him and that they’d heard the garage door open.
But the boy said they did not stop, with his father then walking in and shouting ‘What the f**k’ is going on?’ at the sight of his wife raping his son.
He was then said to have begun throwing objects, before branding Von Yates a ‘c***’ and a ‘child predator.’

He described in detail how he started kissing her neck, with Yates saying: ‘I wish you were 18, because you’re not old enough.’
Von Yates then kicked off her underwear before engaging in oral sex and intercourse without the use of a condom, the teen said.
As his father walked in, the teenager told investigators he ran to the bathroom with his pants around his ankles.
The Daily Mail revealed in October that Yates and the boys father have since split.
At her sentencing, Yates appeared in a full face of makeup and remained stony-faced as she refused to make any comment to the court.
In a statement to the court, the mother of the boy described what happened to her son as making her ‘ill’ and derided Von Yates as a ‘coward’.
She said : ‘You systemically manipulated, groomed, and sexually abused a child. Through your actions, and through your conduct since you have proven to be a coward.
‘There is nowhere you can go to escape the truth. For the rest of your life the world will see you for exactly what you are.
‘An incestuous pedophile who will forever only be remembered for what she took from a child.’
