In a heartwarming segment, the spotlight turns to The Breakfast Club, a community initiative that began in February 2021. This group offers older men a way to maintain their fitness and health through regular pick-up basketball games. More than just a fitness routine, it has evolved into a supportive brotherhood where men over 50 bond over shared interests, with some even crediting the club for saving lives.

Take a look at how the group has helped older men over the years, and how it has even saved lives.

Also featured on the show is Project sWish Chicago (PSC), a foundation founded by McKinley Nelson, a native of Chicago. PSC’s mission is to harness the power of sports and entertainment to foster unity and provide safe spaces for the city’s youth and young adults.

The upcoming “29 Hours of Peace” event, hosted by PSC, is scheduled to unfold from Saturday to Sunday at 3 p.m. at Kennedy-King College. This gathering aims to champion nonviolence, healing, and community unity, with notable appearances from Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, rapper Taylor Bennett, and more.
