In newly released footage from his hit-and-run arrest in South Carolina, former NFL star Robert Quinn is shown with a bloodied face, kicking at the door inside a police cruiser.

Published by TMZ, the footage shows a belligerent Quinn struggling to speak while he remains handcuffed in the back of the police car.

‘[Inaudible] why I’m being put behind this car?’ the 35-year-old former first-round pick is heard asking North Charleston police.

He quickly became angry with officers, who remain off camera in the footage.

‘I know you’re hearing me up front,’ Quinn said before he began kicking at the door.

Quinn is still facing misdemeanor reckless driving and hit-and-run charges following the January 10 arrest in Charleston County, South Carolina, his hometown, and is expected to return to court in December. His attorney chose not to comment to TMZ on Friday.

The retired defensive end’s bloody mugshot gained significant attention online in January, displaying injuries on his forehead, nose, mouth, and temple after he allegedly fled the scene of an accident.

The local fire department was the first to arrive and later told police the suspect appeared to be attempting to flee the scene of the crash in another car.

When police eventually did arrive, they found Quinn in the passenger seat of a white Dodge Challenger. The driver then told officers she’d been called by Quinn to ‘pick him up,’ according to the police report provided to DailyMail.com. That woman is said to work at G-Club, a local gentleman’s club where Quinn was seen earlier that night.

Quinn exhibited slurred speech and was uncooperative with officers, according to police, who claimed he asked ‘where is my wallet’ as he held it in his hand.

He even tried to avoid arrest by holding the vehicle door closed but was eventually removed and ‘escorted to the ground,’ according to police.

Officers say a maroon Ford F-150 registered to Quinn was on the premises and appeared to have hit the passenger side of a Honda Element, which then flew into several other cars.

Surveillance cameras show Quinn’s truck driving down the road at around 2am Friday before veering across an intersection and over a median before entering the dealership.

The collision is not seen on camera, but it was heard by others, according to police.

At 2:03am, police say, a single person is seen walking through the parking lot and to a nearby gas station before heading back and stumbling several times.

Shortly after, the Dodge Challenger arrives, according to police.

This is not the first vehicular charge Quinn has faced.

In August of 2023, he was charged in South Carolina for crashing into several cars before slapping a woman.

‘He was very belligerent,’ one local told WCSC at the time. ‘He kept saying: ‘Oh don’t worry about it I’ll buy you new cars, I’ll buy you new car, let’s go to the dealership.’

‘I told him to get off my property and he proceeded to put his hands on me and slap me not once but twice.’

He was also arrested in Missouri in 2012 on a DWI charge.

Quinn earned $112 million over a dozen NFL seasons. He has been out of the league since 2022.
