The father of former Nickelodeon actress Kianna Anderson has opened up about the tragic loss of his daughter, who died in a hit-and-run accident.
Kianna, aged 33, known for her roles on beloved shows such as “All That” and “Little Bill,” lost her life when an unknown driver struck her early Friday morning, just before 7 a.m., according to information provided by New York Post.
The New York Police Department confirmed to The Daily Mail that the 33-year-old woman was fatally hit while she was crossing Pitkin Avenue in Brooklyn’s Brownsville neighborhood.
The driver responsible for the accident fled, leaving Kianna’s body on the road. Tragically, she was dragged for two blocks, resulting in severe injuries.
In a poignant Facebook post the day after the incident, her grieving father, Anthony Underwood, shared his sorrow, likening the tragic event to witnessing a fox being struck by a vehicle in the Catskills Mountains.
‘Another driver pulled over and picked the fox up who was still alive and put it on the side of the road,’ he recalled. ‘All I can think about is did anyone show my baby that same compassion, as someone ran her over like roadkill.’

Anthony concluded: ‘Did anyone try to comfort my baby as she layed dying in the street alone, or did they just stand around with their phones.’Â
Kianna was pronounced dead Friday when emergency responders arrived at the scene, law enforcement said.Â
The unidentified driver in the hit-and-run was in a grey vehicle. No arrests have been made, and police are still on the hunt for the suspect.Â
Video footage from a local laundromat obtained by the New York Daily News showed the driver dragging the victim for over two blocks before her body rolled onto the street.Â
Several people appeared not to notice the body until a few witnesses reached for their phones.
One of her family members, Anthony Underwood, shared the devastating news of her death on Facebook, writing: ‘Please give me and my family time to process this. Thank you.’
Sparkle Mathis, a local restaurant owner, told the New York Daily News: ‘We, around here, know her as the Disney child star. But the show is actually, I just found out today, Nickelodeon.’Â
Another man in the neighborhood, who refused to give his name, told the publication that Underwood’s boyfriend informed him of her death.Â

‘I’m very devastated, you know, I see her all the time,’ he added.Â
‘She always had good spirits, happy, good energy. It was very sad to hear that it was her.’Â
The former child star got her big break on the infamous Nickelodeon sketch comedy series.Â
She appeared in All That for seven episodes in 2004 and 2005, according to her IMDB page.Â
The show produced several stars, including longtime Saturday Night Live cast member Kenan Thompson and Amanda Bynes.Â
Underwood replaced Jamie Lynn Spears on the sketch comedy series for its tenth and last season.Â
She also appeared in the film The 24 Hour Woman, starring Patti LuPone, and voiced a character in the animated movie Santa Baby!.Â
