Violent riots in France have escalated into a national crisis. Synagogues canceled Sabbath services, while Jews were reportedly urged to hide skullcaps and return home for safety. Mobs waving Palestinian flags clashed with police, looted hundreds of businesses and generated more than 1,300 antisemitic posts online. Authorities arrested over 2,400 rioters as fear spread across the country.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defended Israel against claims that Israelis live on stolen land during an appearance on ‘Life, Liberty & Levin.’

Twitch streamer Hasan Piker sparked widespread backlash after defending his use of inflammatory language against political opponents. In an interview with NPR, Piker dismissed the remarks as nonliteral and argued that criticism of him was rooted in anti-Muslim bias. The Israeli-American Council condemned his rhetoric as dangerous and dehumanizing hate speech.

Rapper Macklemore launched a solo “Free Palestine” tour after being removed from Ed Sheeran’s lineup over anti-Israel conduct. The tour has drawn criticism because its proceeds are reportedly slated to benefit an extremist organization that openly celebrated Hamas’ Oct. 7 massacre. Jewish groups are demanding answers from organizers over the alleged support for violent extremists.

A grieving relative of Shiri Bibas and her two toddlers—who were brutally murdered after being taken to Gaza on Oct. 7—is pursuing legal action. The family’s legal team filed complaints against Iranian officials accused of financing Hamas, criticized the International Criminal Court for alleged double standards and called for arrest warrants targeting the regime leaders who supported the atrocity.

The Trump administration reached an agreement with the University of North Carolina. To close 18 federal investigations into alleged campus antisemitism and race-based admissions, the university agreed to prohibit protest face coverings, require antisemitism training and use strictly color-blind admissions policies. UNC will not pay a settlement or admit wrongdoing, but it must remain under federal oversight through 2028 to retain its funding.

Former New York Post editor David Christopher Kaufman argues that political leaders are promoting anti-Israel rhetoric to win Black voters. He says African Americans are more focused on domestic concerns, including crime and unemployment, than on Gaza. Kaufman also rejects comparisons between Black and Palestinian struggles as a myth and cites polling showing substantial Black support for Israel.

“The Jewish people know what happens when hatred becomes acceptable. Throughout history, pogroms and persecution were fueled by lies that portrayed Jews as less than human. The Holocaust showed the world where the systematic dehumanization of Jews can lead.” — The Israeli-American Council, condemning Hasan Piker’s antisemitic comments.
