A property manager from South Florida has found herself in hot water, accused of diverting substantial funds from local Homeowners Association (HOA) accounts. Authorities claim that Alexandra Delacaridad Gonzalez, 46, indulged in luxury spending sprees, including plastic surgery, vacations, and shopping, before disappearing from the scene.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office has moved forward with an arrest warrant for Gonzalez as they delve into allegations of fraud linked to the HOA accounts she oversaw during her tenure at Avant-Garde Property Management.
Gonzalez is confronting a litany of charges, including two counts of fraud each exceeding $50,000, two counts of grand theft, 61 counts of uttering false instruments, and 59 counts of embezzlement. With these serious accusations, her bond has been set at a substantial $1.35 million.

The investigation, spearheaded by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, centers on claims that Gonzalez systematically wrote checks to herself from the HOA accounts. To cover her tracks, she allegedly fabricated invoices and manipulated financial records.
Investigators allege Gonzalez wrote checks to herself from HOA accounts over an extended period and concealed the thefts by creating fictitious invoices and false ledger entries.
Authorities also say she forged the signatures of authorized account holders.
According to the sheriff’s office, subpoenaed records indicate the money was used for personal expenses, including shopping, plastic surgery and vacations.
