Candace Cameron Bure attributes her decision to leave her hometown of Los Angeles to major shifts that have occurred in the area, echoing a pattern observed among many celebrities who have already left or are considering relocating.

‘While SoCal still holds a special place in my heart, L.A. has undoubtedly transformed since my childhood, especially post-2020,’ the 49-year-old Cameron Bure shared on Thursday during a Q&A session on Instagram, where she engages with over 5.7 million followers.

The actress, famed for her portrayal of D.J. Tanner on the 80s classic Full House and its revival Fuller House, stated her preference for the serenity of small-town living over the fast-paced life of a major metropolis.

‘I also love living in a smaller town where people really do know your name ,’ said Candace, who was born in the Los Angeles-area suburb of Panorama City.

Candace clarified that people didn’t just know her name because she’s ‘on TV.’

She said that the ‘beauty’ of the smaller town where she currently calls home – she posted an accompanying image – played another key factor in her confidence in her decision to move out of Southern California.

She said ’31 years ago, we went on our first official date at his practice rink in Fredericton, New Brunswick,’ noting her Full House costar Dave Coulier ‘introduced us at a charity hockey game in Los Angeles 4 months earlier.’

Candace continued: ’30 years ago on June 20th, we got engaged in Paris. 29 years ago today, June 22nd, we got married. We grew a beautiful family.’

She concluded in saying, ‘Happy anniversary to my love and best friend forever.’
