Patrick McEnroe and Rich “Big Daddy” Salgado have teamed up to form an impressive duo on the podcasting scene.
The tennis expert and the renowned NFL insurance specialist, who both hail from Long Island, are set to launch a new podcast that promises to offer insights you won’t find with a simple Google search. Their celebrity guest list includes big names like Michael Strahan, Bryan Cranston, Mike Tyson, Brandi Chastain, and Mike Eruzione, the captain from the Miracle on Ice team.
“We delve deep into what truly drives these individuals,” McEnroe shared with The Post ahead of his trip to the French Open.
The podcast, cleverly titled “The Mac Daddy Show,” is set to offer a fresh perspective.
McEnroe kicks things off with probing questions, while Salgado—an influential figure in both the NFL and NHL known for his willingness to help anyone, celebrity or not—adds a touch of humor and his signature charm to the conversations.
“It’s like I’m doing my day to day for everybody to hear,” said Salgado, CEO of Coastal Advisors and co-founder of MyTermLife.Ai.
“You’d be so shocked to hear how relatable their lives are and how they like to have fun, too, and deal with serious issues,” added Salgado.
Cranston opens up about his lifelong love for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and Eruzione, a proud Italian descendant, stunningly revealed that he doesn’t like pasta.
“I was shocked to hear that,” McEnroe admitted.
“He did the interview with a sign behind him that read ‘Life, love, and food,’ ” added McEnroe, a former player and brother of tennis icon John McEnroe.
That’s exactly the sort of stuff they hope will turn the soon-to-be-released show with lots of video elements into a grand slam.
“I think we’re going to be able to get some different lanes with people,” McEnroe added. “Bring some different stuff out.”
