The much-anticipated return of Peacock’s reality competition series “The Traitors” is set for Thursday, January 8, with the launch of its fourth season. This season promises excitement and intrigue, as Emmy-winning host Alan Cumming invites a fresh batch of contestants to his Scottish castle. With a release schedule that begins with three episodes and continues weekly until the season finale and reunion on February 26, audiences can expect a thrilling ride.
This season introduces 23 new participants hailing from various realms of reality TV, sports, comedy, and entertainment. The show maintains its captivating format where contestants are split into two groups: the Faithful and the Traitors. Throughout the season, the Traitors secretly “murder” members of the group each night, while the Faithful band together in an attempt to identify and eliminate them. Victory for the Faithful comes if they manage to oust all the Traitors, securing a $250,000 prize. However, if even one Traitor survives until the end, they claim the entire prize for themselves.
Alan Cumming reprises his role as host, steering the participants through an array of missions, dramatic roundtable banishments, and the show’s trademark cloak-and-dagger surprises. These elements have cemented “The Traitors” as one of Peacock’s most popular offerings, promising an engaging and suspenseful season ahead.
The season will follow the show’s usual format. Players are divided into the Faithful and the Traitors. As the Traitors secretly “murder” contestants each night, the Faithful must work together to uncover and banish them. If all Traitors are eliminated, the Faithful win the $250,000 prize fund. But if a Traitor remains by the end, they take all the money.
Cumming returns as host, guiding the players through missions, roundtable banishments and the signature cloak-and-dagger twists that have made the series one of Peacock’s biggest hits.
