As part of their standard operating procedure preparation heading into the NFL Draft, the Giants will bring in edge rusher Abdul Carter for a top 30 visit.

That visit will be Thursday, according to ESPN. The last day for NFL teams to have these visits is April 16.

Carter, the top pass rusher in this draft, will tour the Giants facility and meet with several members of the organization.

He has already spent time with general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll, as the Giants have been monitoring Carter for quite some time.

They own the No. 3 pick in the first round and Carter is expected to be one of the top three players to come off the board.

Daboll had breakfast this past Sunday with Carter at Penn State.

Daboll was on campus for parents weekend, as his daughter is a student at Penn State.

His son Christian was on the Penn State coaching staff early in Carter’s career.

The Titans are believed to have zeroed in on making quarterback Cam Ward the No. 1 pick.

After that, it is likely that the next two players will be Carter and cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter.

The Browns at No. 2 earlier in the process were linked to Carter, but might be leaning toward Hunter, who is considered the best cornerback and wide receiver in this draft.

Possibly factoring in somewhere near the top of the draft is quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

The Giants could take him at No. 3, although he is not considered as elite a prospect as Hunter or Carter.

This past season, Carter led college football with 23.5 tackles for loss, along with 12 sacks.
