Tim Walz's daughter attacks 'liar' Joe Rogan and labels his followers

Hope Walz, the daughter of Tim Walz, has launched a scathing critique of podcast host Joe Rogan, labeling him a “liar” and accusing him of spreading misinformation.

The 24-year-old recently took to social media to post a video in which she harshly criticized Rogan, 58, and his audience, whom she alleges are comprised of undesirable individuals.

While Rogan has been known to support Donald Trump, he has also voiced criticism of the former president in recent times.

For Hope, however, these nuances are irrelevant.

Having gained popularity on TikTok following her father’s unsuccessful vice-presidential campaign, the young influencer claims that she and her friends view any man who follows Rogan on social media as a significant “red flag.”

The term is used to describe negative attributes that might make people steer clear of someone else, especially when it comes to romantic relationships.

‘A litmus test for me and my friends for like years now has been if the guy we’re talking to follows Joe Rogan on Instagram, they’re a red flag and we should probably stop talking to them,’ Hope said.

The Democrat’s daughter went on to discuss what has happened in the past when her friends chose not to let a man go if they follow the podcaster, adding that the tactic has ‘never failed us.’

‘And the times when they do follow him on Instagram and we haven’t stopped talking to them, which was in the past obviously – it’s never ended well. So yeah, I just want to say that I stand by that.

‘It’s literally never failed us and at this point it’s like the first thing we do when someone starts talking to a new person. If they follow him, we’re like yeah this person probably isn’t a great person.

‘And probably our values don’t align so we’re gonna move on from that, and honestly, it’s worked out well for all of us,’ Hope stated, adding that at times there has been ‘some heartbreak’ and ‘disappointment’ as a result of her and her friend’s rule.

‘But it truly is a litmus test, and I got you ladies. You should start doing it,’ she continued before clarifying her views on Rogan.

‘I very much stand by that. He’s [Rogan] is questionable and unprofessional in my opinion, oops,’ she said, rolling her eyes.

‘I don’t know how you have the largest podcast in the world and are able to just lie and put out misinformation and straight up lies on your platform,’ Hope said, addressing Rogan directly.

The Daily Mail contacted Hope and Rogan for comment.

Since the 2024 presidential election, where her father ran alongside Kamala Harris, the Minnesota native has gained half a million TikTok followers.

She takes to her platforms to connect with the Gen Z population, discussing her political and pop culture opinions.

And now her push could possibly help gather more liberal voters, USA Today reported.

The outlet branded Hope her father’s ‘sidekick’ who frequently helped the Minnesota governor throughout his campaigns.

‘Walz drew a surge of media attention and prompted popular X posts on the campaign trail for cutting a rootsy profile like her father,’ per USA Today.

And even though her father and Harris lost to Trump and Vice President JD Vance, the young Democrat has stayed involved in politics.

She believes she had to in order to help liberals win again in the next election, despite recent polls showing the party’s favorability has hit record lows.

‘There’s more to all of us, and we don’t do a good job at showing that, and so I’m going to show it in my own way,’ Hope said of Democrats.

In a recent TikTok video she blamed the ongoing government shutdown on Trump and ‘every single Republican’ in Congress.

She also encouraged her followers to get vaccinated, appearing to respond to RFK Jr., the Secretary of Health and Human Services’ skeptical stance on them.

‘I do think people maybe gravitated towards me because they could see themselves,’ Walz told the outlet of her followers.

‘To some degree, I care deeply about issues and I’m very outspoken about them, but I’m also just a normal 24-year-old. I go to work, I go hiking on the weekend.’
