To mark the impending debut of Happy Gilmore 2, Callaway’s Odyssey Golf is granting enthusiasts the opportunity they have awaited for close to thirty years: an authentic replication of Happy’s unique hockey stick putter from the movie. This is the very same putter that Adam Sandler’s character wielded to outperform Shooter McGavin (played by Christopher McDonald) and emerge victorious at the Tour Championship in the beloved 1996 golf comedy classic. This coveted item will finally be available for purchase, albeit in limited supply.

Happy Gilmore 2, which arrives on Netflix July 25, brings Sandler back as the lovable, rage-prone hockey player turned unlikely golf hero.

While specific details about the storyline remain undisclosed, the upcoming sequel is anticipated to feature familiar characters, including Shooter McGavin portrayed by McDonald, and explore a fresh realm of golf-related mayhem. This project marks Sandler’s initial venture into creating a proper follow-up to one of his original comedic works, stirring excitement among fans who fondly recall lines like “It’s all in the hips.”

In a gesture paying homage to the enduring influence of the original movie, Odyssey’s modernized hockey stick putter will make an appearance in the film as well. Crafted for individuals desiring to emulate Happy’s swing, this putter measures 44 inches in length with a 57° lie angle and a substantial 21-inch grip, resembling characteristics more akin to a driver than a club for short game shots. Geared towards helping enthusiasts replicate Happy’s iconic slap-shot putting technique, this putter is tailored to simulate that style, despite being unsanctioned for use in official tournament competitions, as verified by Callaway in compliance with the official Rules of Golf.

Still, that probably won’t stop fans from showing it off — especially since it’s packed with features like Odyssey’s largest-ever White Hot insert, extra heel/toe inserts for feel, and a custom tube sock headcover embroidered with “Happy Gilmore” and the classic quote: “Just tap it in.”

And because one throwback wasn’t enough, Callaway is also launching a limited-edition box of Chrome Tour golf balls, featuring iconic quotes and hockey-themed designs straight from the film — including “It’s all in the hips” and “Just tap it in.”

“We’re thrilled to bring one of the most iconic golf movie props into the real world,” said Callaway VP of Global Marketing Nick McInally, according to Golf.com. “And to do it in tandem with the release of Happy Gilmore 2 makes it all the more special.”
