Two individuals suspected of being involved in the weekend explosion at Harvard Medical School in Boston are still at large as of Monday. Meanwhile, authorities have assured students and faculty that it is safe to return to the campus.
The incident unfolded shortly after 2:45 a.m. on Saturday within the Goldenson Building. According to Harvard officials, the explosion occurred in a small section of a fourth-floor hallway. Following the blast, two masked suspects were reportedly seen fleeing the scene.
Thankfully, the area affected by the explosion has been thoroughly inspected and deemed fully operational. The university confirmed that there was no structural damage to the building, and all laboratories and equipment remain unscathed.
The Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) has verified that there is no ongoing threat to public safety, reassuring the community that campus activities can proceed as usual.

In an effort to aid the investigation, the HUPD has released surveillance images capturing one of the suspects involved in the Saturday explosion. The search for these individuals continues as authorities work to resolve the situation.

No one was injured in the explosion, officials have said.
The Boston Fire Department Arson Unit responded and made an initial assessment that the explosion appeared to be intentional, officials previously said, and they believe a single device to be involved.
The Boston Police Department conducted a sweep of the building to check for any additional devices, and none were found.
The university said HUPD will maintain an increased presence on the Longwood campus as the investigation remains active and ongoing.
