Four of Ron’s siblings are set, with a teaser that Charlie will appear later and casting for eldest brother Bill still to come.
WASHINGTON — The Weasley family is growing on screen once again. HBO announced the actors who will play four of Ron Weasley’s siblings in its upcoming Harry Potter television series, now filming at Warner Bros.’ Leavesden Studios in the U.K.
Twins Tristan and Gabriel Harland will play prank-loving Fred and George, Ruari Spooner will appear as Percy and Gracie Cochrane has been cast as Ginny.
The announcement came alongside a photo on HBO’s Instagram, showing the on-screen siblings posing for a selfie with Alastair Stout, who plays Ron.
“The Burrow is nearly full,” HBO wrote in the caption.
“Charlie’s in Romania at the moment but will be joining us soon enough,” the caption continued, referencing the family’s dragon-obsessed second eldest. Casting for Bill, the eldest Weasley child, has not yet been revealed.
The core trio is led by Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Stout as Ron. Their casting followed a global search that drew more than 30,000 audition submissions last year.
Several veteran actors will anchor the Hogwarts staff and broader wizarding world. John Lithgow stars as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Nick Frost as Hagrid, and Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley.
Other cast members include Lox Prat as Draco Malfoy and Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy.
Production on Season 1 is expected to continue into spring 2026, with work on Season 2 beginning soon after. The series is slated to premiere in 2027 on HBO and Max.
