After a courageous fight in the NICU since her birth in February 2025, Codi Dreaux passed away on Monday, her parents Cori Broadus and Wayne Deuce have announced.
WASHINGTON — The Broadus family is grieving a heartbreaking loss as Cori Broadus, daughter of music icon Snoop Dogg, shares the tragic news of her 10-month-old daughter Codi Dreaux’s passing.
In an emotional tribute on Instagram, the 26-year-old mother expressed her profound sorrow, writing, “I love the love of my life. My Codi.”
The heartfelt message accompanied a poignant black-and-white photograph depicting Broadus smiling while cradling her infant daughter, seemingly within a hospital environment.
Her fiancé, Wayne Deuce, also took to Instagram stories to share his grief and honor the memory of their beloved child.
“I been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux. But I know u at peace,” he wrote over a photo of himself holding his daughter who had a breathing tube under her nose. “Daddy will always love you.”
The two said Codi died Monday after being in the NICU since her birth in February 2025. Codi was born at 25 weeks, nearly three months earlier than usual, Broadus posted last year.
“Becoming a NICU mom was not part of the plan, but it became part of my story,” she wrote in an Instagram post in September. “I carry my little warrior’s strength with me every day.”
Broadus announced Codi was brough home from the hospital Jan. 6.
“She’s home. Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all,” she wrote in the post.
She reposted the post to her Instagram Story with the caption “20 days later?! dawg im sick.”
PEOPLE previously reported Broadus had a C-section after developing HELLP syndrome, a rare, life-threatening pregnancy complication.
“I’m a high-risk pregnancy, and doctors were very concerned for me and the baby, but God has his hands on me,” she told E! News when she found out she was pregnant in Dec. 2024.
Snoop Dogg has not publicly commented, but posted a photo of him, his daughter and two of his sons Saturday evening with the caption “💖🙏🏾”
