3 hospitalized after helicopter crash near Los Angeles

Three individuals were taken to the hospital following a helicopter crash on the Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach on Saturday afternoon, according to officials.

While details are still being pieced together, the California Highway Patrol’s initial reports noted that the incident was logged at approximately 2:09 p.m. The crash occurred near the Cars ‘N Copters on the Coast event, right in front of the Waterfront Beach Resort.

Video footage obtained by KTLA captures the moment the helicopter descends toward the roadway as onlookers watch, before it abruptly drops and crashes close to the street.

The Huntington Beach Police Department and Huntington Beach Fire Department responded Saturday to the crash at Pacific Coast Highway and Huntington Street on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025 in Huntington Beach, CA.

According to a Huntington Beach police spokesperson, two people were on board the helicopter and both made it out. Three people in the street were injured and all were transported to a hospital.

No further details about the victims’ conditions or what caused the crash were immediately released.
