ANNISTON, Ala. — Several individuals have been apprehended in connection with incidents involving gunfire hitting homes and vehicles, the Anniston Police Department revealed on Wednesday.
The arrests followed a traffic stop on Saturday near Rocky Hollow Road and Christine Avenue. Officers targeted a vehicle believed to be involved in the ongoing investigation. However, the driver reportedly ignored requests to pull over, sparking a pursuit.
During the chase, Zavion Lynch, aged 18 and a resident of Anniston, abandoned the car and attempted to escape on foot but was quickly captured. The driver continued the chase before coming to a halt near the intersection of McCoy Avenue and W. 23rd Street, where Javon Williams and Jaterius Groce, both 21 and also from Anniston, were subsequently arrested.
