Hilaria Baldwin is trying out new moves on Dancing With The Stars… but it seems that some old habits die hard.
The 41-year-old faced criticism from viewers after an interview on Good Morning America, where she discussed her experience on DWTS and relocating her children to Los Angeles for filming.
The celebrity, who was widely criticized in 2020 for allegedly putting on a Spanish accent, seemed to have returned to speaking with a slight accent during the interview – something that viewers quickly picked up on.
‘Why the accent is my only question,’ someone commented on the video, which was shared on social media.
‘The accent. Please stop. She is from Massachusetts,’ slammed another.
‘Why is she talking like a toddler?’ one viewer questioned.
‘Still trying to sound hispanic! Stop it already,’ said another.
‘That fake accent is like nails in a chalkboard,’ declared someone else.

Hilaria Baldwin faced backlash from viewers after her interview on Good Morning America, where she talked about her time on Dancing With The Stars and moving her kids to LA for filming.

Despite being an enthusiastic participant, Hilaria found herself in the bottom three on Tuesday night during One-Hit Wonders Night, but luckily ended up making it to the next round
Earlier in May, the reality star opened up about her baffling accent in her memoir: Manual Not Included, explaining her fluctuating Spanish accent is due to ADHD and dyslexia, saying that her ‘brain just works differently.’
‘And these [diagnoses] greatly impact my speech, my reading, my listening, my focus, my memory and my self-confidence,’ she wrote.
Hilaria was with her dance partner Gleb Savchenko for the interview, where she spoke about her journey to being on the show.
‘This was just an insane thing that I did,’ she told GMA. ‘At the beginning I was like “am I crazy?”‘
‘I signed the paperwork between landing and getting my bags – that’s how fast this whole thing was,’ she continued. ‘It was interesting because fans started to write in to the show, saying “you should be on Dancing With The Stars,” and I was kind of like “really?”‘
The yoga instructor said that she and Dancing With The Stars quickly connected, and it’s been a ‘very interesting experience.’
The mom-of-seven said she wouldn’t have taken the opportunity if she had not been able to take her kids with her to LA.
‘They were set to go to school, we had all their backpacks, we had all their extracurricular activities, and then we just transferred them here,’ she explained.

Luckily, the doting mom said the kids are ‘so happy’ with their new lifestyle.
‘Because it’s an adventure and I was worried it was gonna be not fair to them. But actually, it’s been one of the best things that’s ever happened to them.’

Earlier in September, Hilaria and her husband Alec Baldwin, 67, gave fans got a closer look at their home in Amagansett, New York, in a New York Times feature late last month.
However, a controversial painting the couple keep in their living room left users fuming on social media.
The couple prominently display a lifelike trio of artwork showing Hilaria bagging up some fruit in a grocery store while wearing sunglasses and standing in front of shelves filled with seemingly endless boxes of Rice-A-Roni.
While speaking to the time, Hilaria said, ‘I have to admit that I’m extraordinarily embarrassed that there is a gigantic painting of me in this room. It’s like, “Welcome to my living room. Here is a painting of me.”‘
Commenters on Alec’s post didn’t hold back from savaging the painting, which was made by the artist Brendan O’Connell and was said to be inspired by a paparazzi photo of the yoga instructor shopping in a West Village bodega near her and Alec’s main home in New York City.
