At the PaleyFest 50th Anniversary Celebration of “Charlie’s Angels,” Kate Jackson, a beloved actress from the iconic series, expressed her eagerness to return to acting after stepping away for two decades. The 77-year-old star shared her enthusiasm for a comeback during an engaging discussion with George Pennacchio from On The Red Carpet.
Celebrating the milestone of “Charlie’s Angels,” which first aired on ABC half a century ago, Jackson revealed her desire to re-enter the entertainment industry. “After all these years, I’ve found myself wanting to work again,” she stated, reflecting on her long hiatus and the show’s enduring fanbase.
Jackson’s illustrious career began with her role in the 1970 horror series “Dark Shadows.” She rose to prominence with her performance in the drama “The Rookies” before captivating audiences as one of the original “Angels” in 1976. Her career flourished with leading roles in series like “Scarecrow and Mrs. King” and “Baby Boom,” along with numerous film roles. Her last credited appearance was as Ambassador Elizabeth Prentiss in “Criminal Minds” in 2007. During her PaleyFest appearance, Jackson recounted her choice to step away from Hollywood to dedicate time to raising her son, Charles.
