In a chilling verdict that has sent shockwaves through Hollywood, a producer has been handed a 146-year prison sentence for his involvement in the deaths of two women and the sexual assault of seven others. David Pearce, aged 43, found himself at the center of a high-profile case tied to the tragic deaths of Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola, 26, and Christy Giles, 24, as stated by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
The grim events unfolded on November 13, 2021, when Pearce and his roommate, Brandt Osborn, 46, encountered Giles and Cabrales-Arzola during a late-night warehouse party in East Los Angeles. The gathering, which began around 3 a.m., quickly took a dark turn. The women, who had been enjoying the party atmosphere, decided to leave the venue with Pearce and Osborn, accompanying them back to Pearce’s Beverly Hills apartment just a couple of hours later.
Once at the apartment, Pearce reportedly provided the women with dangerous substances, including fentanyl and gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB). These drugs, often associated with incapacitation and overdose, tragically led to the women’s fatal overdoses. Despite one of the women, Cabrales-Arzola, attempting to escape by calling a rideshare service merely 35 minutes after their arrival, neither she nor Giles managed to leave the apartment alive.
