Savannah Guthrie, known for her role on the “Today” show, has turned to social media to intensify the search for her missing mother. On Monday, she shared an earnest plea on Instagram, urging the public for assistance in finding her mom.

In the heartfelt video, Guthrie expressed the profound distress she and her family are experiencing during what she described as “an hour of desperation.” She noted that they are bracing themselves for yet another harrowing week in this ongoing ordeal.

Nancy Guthrie has been missing since Sunday, February 1. Authorities believe she was forcibly taken from her home in Arizona during the early hours, around 2 a.m. local time.

Nancy Guthrie has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1.

Investigators suspect Guthrie was taken against her will from her Arizona home around 2 a.m. local time.

Her blood was found on her porch, and security cameras were disabled, leaving no video evidence of what happened.

In her video message, Guthrie thanked people for the love they have felt during this time. Guthrie added that she and her siblings believe her mom is still out there.

“She was taken and we don’t know where,” Guthrie described.

Guthrie told viewers, “We need your help.” She encouraged people, including those outside the Arizona area, to report anything they see or hear that’s strange to law enforcement.

The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward to anyone who helps bring Guthrie home or provides information that leads to an arrest in the case.

Anyone with information is asked to contact 1-800-CALL FBI.

A ransom note, purportedly from the kidnappers, had indicated a 5 p.m. deadline Monday for the family to deliver an unspecified amount of money for Nancy’s return.

The FBI has not legitimized the ransom letter, but her family has said they will pay the ransom in a video posted Sunday. It’s unclear exactly what demands the note made.

The three Guthrie siblings, sitting hand in hand with each other, seemed to directly respond to someone who has allegedly been sending ransom notes to media companies.
