Katy Perry's 'devastating' album flop caused 'tension' with Orlando Bloom

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are “Hot N Cold.”

The couple’s relationship has reportedly experienced “tension” and “stress” amid the singer’s “devastating” album flop.

“Katy was deeply frustrated following the reception of her new album,” a source told People on Monday of “143.”

The insider added, “It made her very stressed. Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension.”

Another source claimed to the outlet that “some of the [‘Lifetimes’] tour reviews” have left Perry “disappointed” since it kicked off in April.

This has allegedly “put stress on their relationship.”

Reps for Perry and Bloom did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.

The singer started dating Bloom in 2016, and the duo had an on-again, off-again romance before getting engaged in 2019.

“full bloom,” the bride-to-be captioned her Instagram reveal, which prominently featured her flower ring.

Although the pair were initially going to tie the knot in 2020, they postponed their nuptials due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The couple, who share 4-year-old daughter Daisy, have not divulged any details about their plans for another ceremony.

In September 2024, Perry made a bold statement during her appearance on the podcast “Call Her Daddy.” She shared with the audience that she engages in oral sex as a gesture of appreciation when her partner helps out with household chores.

Shortly after this revelation, she was seen kissing the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor on stage while she was honored with the Video Vanguard Award at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Although she delighted the audience with a medley of her most popular songs during the event, she chose not to perform any tracks from her latest album, which had been released earlier that same month.

“143,” the 15-track record, has been panned — as were her dance moves when the “Lifetimes” tour began.

Perry hit back at “unhinged” haters treating her like “a human piñata” in an April Instagram statement.

“l’m on a human journey playing the game of life with an audience of many and sometimes I fall but … I get back up and go on and continue to play the game,” the “battered and bruised” Grammy nominee wrote.

The songwriter, notably, has also been blasted in recent months for being a part of the historic Blue Origin spaceflight with Lauren Sánchez and Gayle King, among other women.

Perry was trolled for revealing her tour set list while in space.
