Howard Stern has publicly refuted claims made by Kim Kardashian that he accused her of staging her notorious 2016 Paris robbery. During a recent episode of “The Howard Stern Show,” the iconic broadcaster addressed the allegations while speaking with his co-host, Robin Quivers.
“Kim Kardashian alleged that I said she faked her Paris robbery,” Stern explained on Tuesday. “But we did our research and revisited what I actually said, and the reality is quite the opposite.”
To substantiate his stance, Stern, now 71, revisited a 2016 segment from his radio show. In the clip, he discussed the traumatic incident alongside Quivers.
“If this woman was truly robbed at gunpoint by several men, and they threw her in a bathtub and tied her up, or whatever they did, I mean that is terrifying,” Stern remarked during the original broadcast, underscoring the seriousness of the situation.
“If this woman was robbed at gunpoint by a bunch of dudes and they threw her in a bathtub and tied her up, or whatever they did … I mean that is a f–king — that is frigtening,” he said at the time.
“If it is a farce, then really they should go to jail for that,” the media personality continued, clarifying that he didn’t think it was fake.
Stern joked that the “one time the Kardashians don’t have a camera, something interesting happens.”
After replaying the video, the radio show host told Quivers that he would “characterize that discussion as a very fair assessment” of some people saying the robbery was faked.
“And we said, ‘We don’t think it’s fake. We think that she went through something horrible. Some guys came into her room and threw her in a bathtub and pointed a gun at her,’” he explained. “And I said, ‘That’s really frightening.’”
“I have said so many awful things in my career, you don’t need to make up stuff. You can certainly find every awful thing I’ve said. It’s no secret,” Stern added.
A spokesperson for Kardashian, 45, wasn’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.
On last week’s Season 7 episode of “The Kardashians,” the SKIMS founder accused Stern of poking fun at the heist, which saw her robbed of $9 million worth of jewelry.
“Howard Stern was famously mocking it all the time. He was saying that I’m sick and it’s such a joke and I made it all up. I remember he was so defiant about it,” she said in a confessional.
“And I was like, ‘How can you be so certain?’ People trust you.’ That always stuck with me.”
Kardashian also alleged her ex-husband, Kanye West, to whom she was married from 2014 to 2022, believed the robbery was a hoax.
Earlier this year, the reality star testified in the trial while sporting an array of diamonds.
At the time, eight robbers were found guilty.
