In Mokena, Illinois, the mystery surrounding a missing person case took a significant turn this week. Authorities have confirmed that the remains of a man who disappeared in the middle of 2025 were discovered in a field located in the southwest suburbs.
The Will County Sheriff’s Office reported that the investigation was set in motion around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This came after land surveyors, engaged in routine work near Oakwood Drive and Townline Road in Mokena, stumbled upon what appeared to be a human skull.
Upon receiving the alert, deputies swiftly arrived at the scene. A meticulous search of the area ensued, leading to the discovery of additional bones scattered across the field.
