The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office said Saturday morning the plane was located in a wooded area near State Road 11.
FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. — 8:45 a.m. update: The plane has been found, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO). The plane was found in a “very dense wooded area” near the Volusia County line, FCSO said.
Authorities are searching for a plane that “possibly went down,” according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the aircraft lost contact with the Palatka Municipal Airport and did not arrive as scheduled.
There is a large law enforcement presence near State Road 11 in Bunnell, FCSO said. They believe the plane “possibly went down,” an agency social media post stated.
Volusia County Sheriff’s Office’s helicopter unit assisted in the search.
